Five SIPPO country teams from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Morocco, South Africa, Tunisia and Vietnam accompanied Business Support Organizations (BSOs) to SIAL in Paris, the world's leading food trade fair.
SIAL, the "Salon International de l'Agroalimentaire," held from Saturday, October 15 to Wednesday, October 19, 2022, in Paris, is a global trade show attended by 6’500 exhibitors from 105 countries. Food manufacturers, distributors, importers, wholesalers and retailers, as well as representatives of institutional and commercial catering showcased products, innovations and technologies, providing an overall view of the industry. The topics of sustainability and sustainable development in terms of environmental, economic and social aspects are becoming increasingly important for the show.
SIPPO presence with their BSOs
The Country Representatives of 5 SIPPO countries were present at SIAL. They had prepared their BSOs in advance for participation in the fair and accompanied them and their partner companies. On the SIPPO Bosnia and Herzegovina side, the Foreign Trade Chamber of Bosnia and Herzegovina was present at the country pavilion, which was visited by the ambassador during the fair. This honour was also bestowed on the South African pavilion, with a visit by the ambassador of South Africa, where SIPPO South Africa accompanied the BSO DTIC (Department of Trade, Industry and Competition, South Africa) as well as BSO Wesgro - see more here: https://www.sippo.co.za/news/south-africa-at-sial. Together with SIPPO Morocco, BSO Foodex dedicated a stand to BSO ASMEX so that it could carry out the mission of coaching members for the SIAL exhibition. SIPPO Tunisia was present with the BSO Export Promotion Center (CEPEX) and The Canned Food Industries Group (GICA). SIPPO Vietnam accompanied the BSOs VIETRADE (Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency) and VPA (Vietnam Pepper Association).
