SIAL Paris 2018: SIPPO support for four country pavilions

Exhibitors from Tunisia, Indonesia, Peru and South Africa will present themselves to international buyers at Europe’s largest fair for food products with their wide and attractive product range. About 70 companies present their varieties at the booths No 3 E 055 (GICA, Tunisia), 3 H 036 (the dti, South Africa), 8 H 016 and 5a M 094  (Promperu, Peru), and 4 P 106 (MOI, Indonesia). Their offer addresses almost every customer request, ranging from Cereals and Grains, to ready-to-eat products over dried or frozen fruits and vegetables up to fruit and vegetable preparations in cans or glasses, to snacks and beverages.

SIPPO and its international consultants coach the organizers of the country pavilions and their exhibitors to promote their high-quality products. Assisted by SIPPO, the BSOs and their exhibitors aim for better impact of their fair participation and more longstanding business contacts with potential buyers. 

TUNISIA

Located at the northern tip of the African continent, Tunisia has been able to takes advantage of its status as point of access to the African market. At the heart of the Euro-Mediterranean logistics chain, Tunisia is the ideal export platform and the ultimate access hub in several global growth markets.

As part of the Tunisian participation in SIAL, SIPPO will support the Tunisian canned food industries group (GICA) in the organization of B2B meetings for the benefit of six companies producing “Canned Harissa” certified "Tunisian food quality label". In fact, by matching International demand and Tunisian offer, an international SIPPO consultant will be in charge of contacting international buyers in order to put them in touch with Tunisian companies during the trade fair, thus creating a high traffic on the Tunisian pavilion.

In a complementary approach, SIPPO has mobilized another international expert to strengthen the capacity of GICA in the following themes: basics for a successful trade fair, public outreach and promotion, CRM, B2B matchmaking and company’s preparation.

At the SIAL, particularly the Tunisian Harissa will be promoted, which is a hot paste produced from fresh chili, garlic and spices, is one of the most famous culinary products. The recipe of Tunisian harissa has been inspired for over 60 years, considered the ultimate local Tunisian products.

The popularity of harissa has long been expanding on the international market especially in Europe.
