Value-Added Textile mission in Albania
SIPPO in collaboration with AIDA has organized a business mission in Albania to reactivate the value-added textile sector in export promotion. The aim of the mission was to identify value added companies that provide more services than Facon (only Make) and are interested in attractive European markets.
SIPPO in collaboration with AIDA has organized a business mission in Albania to reactivate the value-added textile sector in export promotion. The aim of the mission was to identify value added companies that provide more services than Facon (only Make) and are interested in attractive European markets.
Brigitte Heuser, SIPPO consultant with long experience in textile sector has led the team for organizing this mission. The mission team has visited 12 companies in Shkodra, Tirana and Durres, which manufacture underwear, women-wear, menswear, sportswear, workwear and corporate fashion. In addition, were organized 6 meetings in the Expocity’s Textile, Leather and Fashion fair in Tirana, where SIPPO is event partner.
Albanian Textile sector has very good chances to develop its own capacities and reach attractive markets like Germany, France, UK and even Scandinavian countries, through strengthening collaboration among companies in private sector associations and boosting government support for sector export promotion.
