SIPPO presented itself with a stand at the Swiss Export Day 2022 in Basel. SIPPO promotes the export capabilities of business support organisations (BSOs) and their affiliated producers in selected countries and the link to the Swiss economy remains important. SIPPO's presence at the Swiss Export Day every year leads to interesting exchanges.
The Swiss export industry is proving to be robust even in times of crisis: Innovative strength, confidence, a wealth of ideas, excellent skilled workers and adaptability are significant strengths of the Swiss economy. The Swiss Export Day addressed questions like how to shape a sustainable future, how to follow-up on promising ideas and how to identify competitive advantages. After all, in the age of digitalisation, Swiss companies are faced more than ever with the challenge of quickly identifying potential and designing their products, processes and business models to be fit for the future. The topic "Shaping the Change" therefore created great interest: More than 500 decision-makers from the Swiss export industry looked for answers together with speakers from politics, business and sport.
Creatively mastering challenges
Like Swiss KMUs, the SIPPO programme faces similar challenges in their capacity building activities with more than 40 BSOs in 11 partner countries. This is why SIPPO is a cooperation partner of Swiss Export Expo, and for Clément Graf, Head of Programmes at SIPPO, and other SIPPO representatives, the exchange with representatives of the Swiss Export Association and with company and association representatives from Switzerland was of great value. At the same time, they were able to draw attention to the annual "SIPPO Import Promotion Forum". They also complimented the Swiss Export Association for the launch of the "swiss ecomove" initiative geared towards sustainability and environmental protection.
