From March 7-9, 2023, the leading travel trade show ITB is taking place in Berlin, Germany. After several difficult years due to Covid the fair is finally taking place again on the usual scale. All SIPPO countries working in the Sustainable Tourism sector will be supporting their BSOs at ITB, namely Albania, Colombia, North Macedonia and Peru. Come and visit us!
The Swiss Import Promotion Programme (SIPPO) is supporting their Business Support Organisations (BSOs) in successfully participating in this fair. Preparation, onsite support, and follow-up capacity development sessions are being carried out. Since every BSO is at a different stage of development, the activities are tailored to the BSOs needs. Additionally, SIPPOs Trade Promotion Academy (TPA) offers an extensive training module for successful trade fair participation. The TPA is also accessible to you and offers different online training modules in trade, including sustainable tourism. https://www.tradepromotionacademy.org/
Innovative companies from four unique travel countries
All the SIPPO countries working in the Sustainable Tourism sector, namely Albania, Colombia, North Macedonia and Peru, will be supporting their BSOs at ITB. Come and visit us at ITB:
You will find Albania in Hall 1.1 at stand No 205 with a new concept of a national Pavillion plus two stands where the SMEs are promoting their offers. At the national Pavillion, you are most welcome to visit and listen to the panel discussions around the topics: “Outdoor, healthy and sustainable – a promising path for Albania’s tourism” or “Sustainable Tourism with standards”, a networking event, the organization of which is supported by SIPPO, GIZ and RisiAlbania, among others.
You will find Colombia in Hall 23 at stand No.102 with two BSOs supported by SIPPO. While the national BSO PROCOLOMBIA has already been participating in ITB for many years, BSO ACOTUR, focusing on responsible travel, is participating for the first time. It is worth visiting this stand with innovative SMEs in the area of Sustainable Tourism.
You will find North Macedonia in Hall 1.2 at stand No. 200. This year, SIPPO supports its BSOs in strengthening their networks in the German market. The focus lies on connecting with associations, certification bodies, and other stakeholders around responsible tourism. Come and learn about the Sustainable Tourism offer of beautiful North Macedonia.
You will find Peru in Hall 23, at stand No. 100. Peru will be present with 23 Peruvian SMEs as co-exhibitors. In parallel, SIPPO supports their BSOs by running a study tour for 14 SMEs that are participating in the fair for the first time in the role of visitors in order to learn about trends at the fair. This study tour is held in the framework of a training program and prepares the SMEs for future participation in the PROMPERU stand.
We are looking forward to welcoming you at our stands and exchanging impressions and new ideas about Sustainable Tourism topics and the offers of innovative SMEs from four SIPPO countries.
