Olivier Bovet
Olivier Bovet is Programme Manager within the ‹Trade Cooperation Division at SECO›. Apart from SIPPO, his area of responsibility includes, among others, the management of the Swiss General System of Preference for goods from developing countries. After completing his studies in California and in Switzerland with a doctorate in international economy, he worked for the United Nations Industrial Development Organization ‹UNIDO› in Islamabad, Pakistan during two years. In 1995, he joined the Federal Office for Foreign Economic Affairs in Berne, where he was in charge of bilateral relations with Africa and the Middle East; in 1997-98, he dealt with the relationship to the ‹IMF› within the Federal Department for Finances, before joining SECO, where he mainly led infrastructure financing projects in Eastern Europe. Between 2006 and 2010, he was the Deputy Country Director of the Swiss Cooperation Office in Belgrade, Serbia, where he was mainly responsible for the portfolio of SECO’s projects in Serbia.
He is the new contact partner within SECO for programme and project implementation of SIPPO. 2010.
