This year's construction fair in Dubai, "The Big 5 Show", is proving very popular with Swiss exhibitors. From November 25 to 29, twelve Swiss
companies from the construction sector will be presenting their top quality products and services to a wide audience at the joint SWISS Pavilion, which Osec Business Network Switzerland is again organizing in 2007.
From 13 to 17 October 2007 the Anuga Food Fair is taking place in Cologne and the Swiss food industry is represented with a wide range of high-quality and
innovative products. At the two "SWISS Pavilions" in Halls 3.1 - Fine Food - and 10.1 - Milk and Dairy Products - 42 Swiss exhibitors are presenting healthy and tasty food products for the sophisticated palate.
At Sweets China 2007, which is being held from 5 to 7 September in Shanghai, Switzerland is presenting its sweetest side. In the "SWISS Pavilion", organised by Osec Business Network Switzerland, in Hall E2, eight Swiss companies are presenting their high-quality chocolate specialities, fine sweets and cereal products to an interested
specialist public.
Swiss products enjoy a reputation worldwide for quality and they therefore have an excellent image. This is the case not just for well known brand goods but also for the private-label products made in Switzerland. Visitors to the "SWISS Pavilion" at the PLMA World of Private Label to be held from 22 to 23 May 2007 in Amsterdam’s RAI Exhibition Center will find plenty of evidence for this.
On May 7, Federal Councillor Doris Leuthard, Head of the Federal Department of Economic Affairs (FDEA), is to open the Swiss Business Hub South Africa in Pretoria during her official visit to South Africa. This new hub will strengthen Business Network Switzerland, which is coordinated by Osec, and support Swiss and Liechtenstein companies as they establish and expand their international activities in southern Africa.
A delegation of Saudi business people will be meeting representatives of Swiss companies in Lucerne from 24 to 26 April in order to discuss business opportunities between the two countries and begin networking.
The Forum for International Business took place in Zurich on March 27 and 28, successfully organized by Osec Business Network Switzerland for the sixth time. Some 600 guests – primarily representatives from SMEs – attended. They were able to exchange ideas with decision-makers from the worlds of politics and business regarding market opportunities and current trends in international business.
Swiss food products set the standard in quality, taste and innovation. The Swiss food and drinks industry was present during IFE, Britain’s biggest
food and drinks show, which took place from 18 to 21 March 2007 at London’s ExCel.
The market for cosmetic products is driven mainly by innovations. These days, they make a major contribution to sales. 12 Swiss companies will be
exhibiting at COSMOPROF 2007, to be held from 29th March to 2nd April in Bologna.
Organic products are on the advance. Variety, closeness to nature and consistently high quality standards are characteristic of the important contribution made by Swiss manufacturers to this market.
At this year's Arab Health trade fair, the "SWISS Pavilion", organized by Osec Business Network Switzerland, will once again act as a platform for Swiss products and services from the healthcare sector. From January 29 to February 1, 2007, fifteen Swiss companies will, for the sixth time, be putting top quality on display at the "SWISS Pavilion".
ISM 2007 is another trade fair from 28 - 31 January at which the «SWISS Pavilion», organized by Osec Business Network Switzerland, will be offering a colorful kaleidoscope of confectionery: 16 Swiss companies will be joining forces in Hall 4.2 to present famous specialties and countless new products of typically high Swiss quality.
