Since 2004 Daniel Küng has been CEO of Osec, the official Swiss foreign trade promoter. Osec was founded in 1927 under private law and holds the mandates of export and location promotion as well as the import and investment promotion on behalf of the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs SECO. After graduating from the University of St. Gallen (HSG), he took up an appointment in 1980 as Executive Assistant to the Board and Office Manager, Sales at Mercedes-Benz do Brasil in São Paulo. In 1982 Daniel Küng founded Agrosuisse Ltda. as managing partner. This company specializes in consultancy and business management in the agricultural and agro-industrial sectors in Latin America. Five years later came the move to Portugal and the founding in Lisbon of the Response Group.
